End of the Line

The Miramichi Phantoms gave it a great effort but were ousted Sunday evening by a short handed goal 6:45 into sudden death overtime. The Phantoms held the lead for most of the game, until Tracadie tied the score on the power-play with three minutes remaining in the third period. Darcy Tuplin, Logan McEvoy, Kris Keating and Shawn Doucet scored the Phantoms goals while Derrick Holmes was sharp in goal, but suffered the loss. Tracadie now moves on to play Lamque in a best of seven NESHL semi-final.

Phantoms Fend Off Elimination

The Miramichi Phantoms went to Tracadie Friday evening and staved off elimination beating the home town Alpines by a score of 5-2. Justin Norris scored a pair of goals for the Phantoms while Darcy Tuplin, Jeff Wilson and Kris Keating did the rest of the damage. Derrick Holmes played superb between the pipes and picked up his first playoff win. Tracadie now leads the series 3 games to 2.

Phantoms on the Brink

The Miramichi Phantoms are on the brink of elimination after dropping Game 4 to the Tracadie Alpines by a score of 9-6. With the win the Alpines take a three games to one strangle hold on the series. Darcy Tuplin scored a pair for the Phantoms while singles came off the sticks of Kris Keating, Nathan Francis, Jeff Wilson and Robbie Veriker. Phantoms Take Game 3

The Miramichi Phantoms needed a win and that's exactly what they delivered Wednesday evening in Tracadie, knocking off the Alpines by a score of 4-3. Darcy Tuplin scored a pair for the Phantoms including the game winner while Bryce Silliker and Nick Foran rounded out the scoring. Nick Hardy picked up his first playoff win in goal. With the win the Phantoms climb back in the series now trailing 2-1.

Overtime Heartbreak

The Miramichi Phantoms only trailed once in game one of their best of 7 series versus the Tracadie Alpines, but it was when it counted most. The Alpines scored five minutes into overtime to take game one by a score of 6-5. The Phantoms played a solid road game but ran into penalty troubles as 4 of the 5 regulation Alpine goals were on the power-play. Darcy Tuplin scored a deuce for the Phantoms while singles came off the sticks of Logan McEvoy, Nathan Francis and Justin Norris. Nick Hardy played an exceptional game in goal in defeat.

Phantoms Come Up Short

Once again the Miramichi Phantoms found themselves on the wrong end of a 6-5 score as they dropped game 2 of their best of 7 series against the Tracadie Alpines. Bryce Silliker fired home a pair of goals for the home team, while singles came off the sticks of Logan McEvoy, Darcy Tuplin and Shawn Doucet. Nick Hardy was between the pipes in the loss. The Phantoms now trail the series 2-0.

Regular Season Concluded

The Miramichi Phantoms final regular season game was on Saturday February 1st as they succumbed to the Tracadie Alpines by a score of 6-2. Darcy Tuplin and David Mitchell scored the Phantoms goals while Derrick Holmes took the loss in goal.

Lameque Edges Phantoms

The Miramichi Phantoms ran into some hot Lameque goaltending and were on the wrong end of a 6-4 score Friday evening at the LBA. James Sanford fired home a pair of goals for the home team, while David Mitchell and Jeff Wilson had singles each. Nick Hardy was solid in goal for the Phantoms but suffered the loss.

Offensive Out-Put

The Phantoms were in Lameque on Sunday January 26th for an afternoon game against the Au Ptit Mousse which turned into a run and gun affair. When the smoke cleared, Lameque took home the victory just edging out the Phantoms by a score of 11-10. Justin Norris scored five goals for the Phantoms while Kris Keating notched a hat trick. Bryce Silliker rounded out the scoring with a pair. Nicky Hardy was between the pipes in the loss.

Phantoms Win On Home Ice

On the weight of a four goal performance from captain Bryce Silliker the Miramichi Phantoms cruised to a 9-6 victory Friday evening at the LBA against Memramcook. The fans were treated to a back and forth affair which was also filled with plenty of fist-a-cuffs. James Sanford, Tyson Augustine, Kris Keating, Darcy Tuplin and Shawn Doucet all had singles while Nick Hardy picked up the win in goal.

Bouctouche Up-Ends Phantoms

On Sunday January 19th the Phantoms rolled into the J.K. Irving Center and were abruptly up ended by the Bouctouche JC's by a score of 9-3. Phantoms goal scorers were Nick Foran, David Mitchell and Tyson Augustine. Derrick Holmes was in net for the loss.

Shoot-Out The Lights

The Miramichi Phantoms played an impressive road game Friday evening in Lameque, giving the lead leading Au Ptit Mousse all they could handle for 65 minutes then knocking them off in a shoot-out. Bryce Silliker buried two goals on the evening while singles came off the sticks of Darcy Tuplin, Jeff Wilson, Kris Keating and AJ McKay. Nick Hardy was stellar in goal picking up the victory.

Battle for Position

The Tracadie Alpines played a solid game and got some great goaltending on their way to a 7-1 triumph over the Miramichi Phantoms Sunday evening. Nathan Francis was the lone goal scorer for the Phantoms while Nick Hardy was in goal for the loss. With the Alpines victory they take a one point lead over the Phantoms for second place in the North division.

Phantoms Beat on Home Ice

A pair of weekend home games turned into a disaster for the Miramichi Phantoms as they were handed another set back by Cap-Pele on Friday evening by a score of 5-2. A lackluster effort by the home team gave the Pecheur's an opportunity they wouldn't waste taking a 4-0 lead into the third period and hanging on for the victory. Kris Keating and Tyson Donovan had the Phantoms goals while Derrick Holmes was in net for the loss.

Phantoms Edged Out

The Miramichi Phantoms were tough luck losers Thursday evening at the LBA, coming out on the wrong end of a 5-4 score. The Tracadie Alpines scored in the first minute of the game a lead they would never relinquish on their way to victory. Robbie Veriker scored a pair of goals for the home side while Logan McEvoy and Darcy Tuplin rounded out the scoring. Nick Hardy was in goal and suffered the loss.

First Road Victory

The Miramichi Phantoms skated into Cap-Pele Saturday evening with a skeleton crew and pulled off an impressive upset over the defending league champions, knocking off the Pecheurs by a score of 10-7. Robbie Veriker lead the way for his team scoring a hat trick while Darcy Tuplin and Bryce Silliker both found the twine for a pair each. Brandon Paul, Nathan Francis and Jeff Wilson all connected on solo markers. Derrick Holmes picked up his first win of the season in goal. The Phantoms improve their record to 6-7-1 and now have a firm grasp on second place in the North division.

Road Woes Continue

The Miramichi Phantoms took to the road after a quick Christmas break visiting the East division leading Memramcook Maison Levesque Acadiens on Friday December 27th. Despite a valiant effort with a short bench the Phantoms were defeated by a score of 10-5. Memramcook salted the game away in the last 10 minutes scoring 4 goals. Bryce Silliker scored a pair for the Phantoms while singles came off the sticks of Nathan Francis, Darcy Tuplin and Jeff Wilson. Nicky Hardy was in goal for the loss.

Game Cancelled

The game scheduled for this evening at the Neguac Sportsplex between the Tracadie Alpines and Miramichi Phantoms has been cancelled due to inclement weather. Check out website for re-scheduling.

Lameque Knocks Off Phantoms

The Lameque Au Ptit Mousse stormed out to an early 4-0 first period lead and eventually grabbed a 7-1 strangle hold in the third before the Phantoms charged back to make it a 7-5 game. But it was not to be on this night as Lameque added an insurance goal to make the final 8-5. Jeff Wilson and Bryce Silliker both netted a pair of goals on the Phantoms behalf while Kris McKay had the other. Derek Holmes was in goal and suffered the loss.

Phantoms Drop Lameque

In an action packed match-up in front of a lively crowd at the Civic Center, the Miramichi Phantoms reigned victorious by a score of 6-4. The crowd was treated to numerous fist a cuffs and some great hockey. Bryce Silliker notched a hat trick for the home team, while James Sanford scored a pair and Jeff Wilson rounded out the scoring. Nick Hardy was stellar in goal picking up the win. These two teams clash again this Friday night, December 20th, 8:00 pm at the LBA. This should make for another action filled affair.

Phantoms Lose First Home Game

The Miramichi Phantoms surrendered 4 power play goals, 1 short handed marker and an empty netter to seal the deal, as they suffered their first regulation home loss of the season at the hands of the Cap-Pele Pecheur's by a score of 7-4. The Phantoms found themselves in penalty trouble most of the evening playing the majority of the second period short handed. Bryce Silliker found the twine twice for the Phantoms while Shawn Doucet and Anders Frees had solo goals. Derek Holmes took the loss in goal before being replaced in the second period by Nick Hardy.

Phantoms Sink Alpines

The Miramichi Phantoms jumped out to an early 3-0 first period lead only to see it evaporate in the second, trialing the Alpines 4-3 after two. But the Phantom were not to be denied, scoring 3 goals in the third period and taking home a 6-4 victory. Darcy Tuplin scored a set of goals while Nathan Francis, Bryce Silliker, Logan McEvoy and Jeff Wilson rounded out the scoring. Nick Hardy picked up the win in goal with a solid performance.

Phantoms Road Woes Continue

The Miramichi Phantoms were handed a 10-4 trouncing at the hands of the Bouctouche JC's Sunday evening at the JK Irving Center. James Sanford, Bryce Silliker, Darcy Tuplin and Kris Keating all had solo goals for the Phantoms. Nick Hardy played the first 40 minutes and took the loss, being replaced by Derrick Holmes in the third. With the loss the Phantoms record falls to 3-3-1.

Phantoms Post Win

The Miramichi Phantoms played a dominant third period in game one of their home and home with the Memramcook Acadiens and came away with a 7-4 victory. Brandon Paul did maximum damage scoring a hat trick for the home team while Jeff Wilson salted away a pair of goals. Kris Keating and Nathan Francis rounded out the scoring for the Phantoms. Nicky Hardy picked up his first win of the season between the pipes.

Memramcook Evens Weekend Series

The Memramcook Maison Levesque Acadiens made short work of the Miramichi Phantoms Sunday evening on their home turf, jumping out to a commanding 4-0 lead early in the first and not looking back, on route to an 8-3 victory. Joel Wormell, Justin Norris and Andy Joseph all scored singles while Nick Hardy was in goal for the loss.

Tracadie edges Phantoms in Shoot-Out

It was an old fashioned run and gun affair Friday evening at the LBA, as the Tracadie Alpines came away with an 11-10 victory in a shoot-out. The Phantoms fought back from a 5-0 deficit to earn themselves a point in the offensive battle. Bryce Silliker notched a hat trick and Darcy Tuplin had a pair for the Phantoms, Jeff Wilson, Brandon Paul, James Sanford, Justin Norris and Anders Frees tallied solo markers. Marc Richard started in goal but was replaced early on by Nick Hardy, who was subsequently injured late in the third and replaced by Richard. The Phantoms next see action when they host Memramcook next Friday November 14th, 8:00 pm at the LBA.

Phantoms Open Season With OT Thriller

The Miramichi Phantoms kicked off their 2013-2014 season in style with an action packed affair that seen new comer James Sanford score the overtime winner to give the Phantoms a 7-6 victory against the visiting Bouctouche JC's. The contest was a back and forth battle that seen both teams climb back into the game at various points. Sanford and Bryce Silliker each had a pair of goals for the Phantoms, while Kris Keating, Darcy Tuplin and Justin Norris rounded out the scoring. Marc Richard picked up the win in goal.

Phantoms drop road game

A severely understaffed Miramichi Phantoms club rolled into Tracadie Sunday night and despite a valiant effort were up ended 9-4 by a new look Alpines team. Darcy Tuplin notched a pair of markers for the Phantoms, while Jeff Wilson and Brandon Paul had the others. Nick Hardy suffered the loss in goal and was replaced late in the second by Marc Richard. The Phantoms meet Tracadie again this Friday night November 8th when they clash at the LBA, game time is 8:00 pm.

2013-2014 Season Set to Begin

The preparations for the 2013-2014 NESHL season are well underway. All six teams, namely Bouctouche, Cap-Pele, Lameque, Memramcook, Tracadie-Sheila and your Miramichi Phantoms have confirmed their presence for the upcoming season. This seasons schedule is set to be released very shortly. Stay tuned to our website for any further updates.

PHANTOMS: HOLD OPEN TRY-OUTS

The Miramichi Phantoms will return to the NESHL for the upcoming 2013-2014 season. The Phantoms will be holding open try-outs during the month of October. The Phantoms would like to encourage anyone who is 18 years of age and older and interested in playing competitive Senior 'A' Hockey to attend this training camp.
